Studia Podlaskie (Podlasie Studies) – the annual journal published since 1989 by the Institute of History and Political Sciences, University of Bialystok. Founder and long-time editor-in-chief was Professor Michał Gnatowski. In the years 2011-2018, the editor-in-chief was Dr. hab. Józef Maroszek, Professor of the University of Bialystok. Since 2018, the editor-in-chief is Dr. hab. Grzegorz Zackiewicz, Professor of the University of Białystok.
The journal publishes the results of the latest research in the field of history and political science concerning the territories of the Republic of Poland in its ancient and present borders. The bulk of the articles concerns the territories of north-eastern Mazovia, Podlasie and the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Editors only accept original articles, not previously published. They are subjected to a full review procedure, both internal and external. The names of the reviewers are published on page 2 of the journal.
The Podlasie Studies is published in 150 copies (original paper version) and is also available on-line on the pages of the Podlasie Digital Library (PBC), Repository of the University of Bialystok (RUB) and the PDF version on the website of the journal.
